CARICOM countries face numerous competing demands to enhance their capacity to comply with sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) requirements, which are essential for unlocking and boosting trade, while resources are limited. The purpose of this Project Preparation Grant (PPG) is to (i) pilot virtual training for up to ten P-IMA facilitators and (ii) support these trained facilitators in using evidence to prioritize SPS investments in the CARICOM region through the application of the P-IMA framework. Additionally, they will help develop action plans and collaborative concept notes based on the SPS investment priorities identified. This initiative, supported by the CARICOM Secretariat and various regional stakeholders, aims to enhance SPS decision-making and resource allocation.
The formal sessions of the virtual training ended in July 2021. Click the links below to watch the recordings.
