Kamarudin Md Isa

Kamarudin Md Isa is currently Director General Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia. During his vast tenure with the Veterinary Services, he has made significant contributions in the area of animal health. Specifically, he played a leading role in helping Malaysia successfully eradicate the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). This led him to serve as Chairman of the ASEAN HPAI Taskforce in 2004.  In addition, he helped Malaysia to obtain OIE recognition for Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Freedom without vaccination for two states. Currently, he is Malaysia's delegate to the OIE and has participated actively in various OIE programmes and activities. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Agriculture University of Malaysia.
